Charles Louis Anello, “Chuck”, 67, of Lancaster, SC and formerly of Charlotte, NC, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, August 8, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 14, 1953 in Newark, NJ, son of the late Charles and Jean Anello.
Chuck was an extrovert. His persona drew even strangers into hour long conversations that led quickly to new friendships. He touched the lives of many and those lucky enough to have Chuck as a friend were truly blessed. He always put others before himself. He had a positive attitude and quick-witted sense of humor. He made a room light up with laughter and made an impression on everyone he met. Chuck had a passion for cooking and connecting family together through his meals.
Most important to him was his family and his five beautiful grandsons. He will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed holiday gatherings and beach getaways with his family. Sitting on the beach and watching the sun set was a truly memorable moment for Chuck.
He leaves a lasting legacy to be cherished by his survivors, his wife of 42 years, Luanne Anello; daughters Denise Gross and husband, Tommy of Charlotte, NC, and Danielle Brown and husband, Michael of Indian Trail, NC; grandchildren, Thomas Gross III, Matthew Gross, Liam Brown, Luke Brown, and Layton Brown; sisters Carmel Sullivan and husband, Glenn of Monroe, NC, and Joanne Anello-Maher and husband, Bill of Wilbraham, MA; brothers Guy Anello and wife, Ellen of Green Brook, NJ, and Louis Anello and wife, Jean of West Caldwell, NJ; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the nurses, physicians and staff, his beloved church family and friends for their unwavering and compassionate and supportive care that was provided. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
