ROCK HILL - Charles Rex Baskin Jr., 65, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Memorial services will be 3 PM Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Bethel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Emily Sutton officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 6-8 PM, at Whitesell Funeral Home.

Born in Rock Hill, S.C., Charles was the son of Sherleen "Tootsie" Baskin and the late Charles Rex Baskin Sr.. He was a retired independent telephone contractor and served in the National Guard. He attended Rock Hill High School and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

In addition to his mother, Charles is survived by his sisters Lydia Baskin Williams and husband Larry and Jennifer Suzanne Tutterow and husband Dennis, all of Rock Hill.

In addition to his father, Charles was preceded in death by a son, Charles "Chuckie" Rex Baskin III and a brother, Robert Timothy Baskin.
