Charles Raymond Cataldo, known as "Chuck", passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024. Chuck was born April 9,1943 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Joseph and Grace Cataldo.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Kathy Cataldo; children, Mark Cataldo (Annie), Deborah Djokovich (Peter), Allison Sexton (Chris), and Meredith Yocum (Garrett); sibling, Anthony Cataldo (Loreen); nine grandchildren he loved dearly, Jordan, Julia, Jake, Alex, Anabel, Sadie, Austin, Delaney, and Emerson, and one great-grandchild Jackson.
For 45 years, Chuck dedicated his entire professional career to Delta Airlines, steadily climbing the ladder. Leading the operation with a perpetual smile, he served as a supportive manager, effortlessly resolving obstacles and earning the affection of all his coworkers through genuine compassion. His successful career included stops in Detroit MI, Los Angeles CA, Boston MA, JFK NY, and Charlotte NC. He retired and ended up pursuing another passion to begin an international airline in Charlotte for a couple of years, Insel Air.
Chuck was deeply loved by his family, and those who knew him held him in high esteem. His warm and welcoming nature guaranteed a friendly smile and greeting for everyone, cultivating numerous and valuable friendships.
Chuck will be deeply missed by his wife, children, and grandchildren. His family endeavors to uphold Chuck's legacy by embracing his values, morals, and sharing his life experiences.
A service will be held on January 27, 2024 at 2:00pm at the Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place, Fort Mill, SC 29708.
