Charles E Johnson

Charles E. Johnson, 74, of Rock Hill, died Tuesday, November 1, 2016. He was a lifelong member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church where he was active on the cemetery committee, the Men of the Church, and the service committee. He was a founding member of the Bethesda Fire Department and was retired from the Bayer Corporation after 32 years. He loved woodworking, building projects, and was a former disc jockey and music producer. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Jackie Johnson; five sisters, Billie Anne Burton, Shirley Pierce, Janet Biddix, Patsy Wilson, Phyllis Black; a brother, Gene D Johnson; and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 11:00am in the Bethesda Presbyterian Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until service time at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the Bethesda Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund.
