Charles "Jimmy" Mccurry

Charles James "Jimmy" McCurry, 69, of Edgemoor, SC passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Born in Rock Hill, SC, Jimmy was the son of the late Graham and Annie Collins McCurry. He was a member of Lando Baptist Church. He was also a mason, shriner, and a member of Lakeview Archery Club. Jimmy loved the Louisville Lions. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Altman and a brother, Johnny McCurry. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty McCurry; a sister, Shirley Gordon of Rock Hill, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate the life of Jimmy McCurry will be held 2pm Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Lando Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Harrison officiating and Rev. Warren Fowler assisting. Burial will follow at Lando Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be the Edgemoor Senior Center and Church Family, the staff of York County Council on Aging, and the staff of Medi Home Hospice. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30pm Friday, June 28, 2013 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home.
