Charles Evin Milbury, age 76, peacefully passed from this life surrounded by close family on January 12, 2023 after a long illness.
He was born on January 7, 1947, in Brookline, Massachusetts to the late Vincent and Evelyn (O’Brien) Milbury.
Charles graduated from Burdette College with a degree in business. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Airforce from 1968-1974. After completing his military service, he permanently moved to Germany and married the love of his life Barbara (Standhartinger) on June 22, 1974 in Memmingen, Germany.
Charles worked for Stehle GmbH for many years in Memmingen, Germany, where his career specialized in the international sales of woodworking machinery. In 1994, Charles and his family moved to Fort Mill, SC where he lived for the remainder of his life.
Charles is survived by his wife Barbara, daughters Kathrin (husband Jason) and Christina, son Phillip, and grandchildren Jordan, Samuel, Jonah, Madison, Archie, Livvy, and Lacy; Siblings Joanne, George, Stephen, Robert, Mary Ellen, Patricia, Brian, Richard, and Elizabeth as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death are both parents, parents-in-law Friedrich and Hildegart Standhartinger, brother Francis, and son-in-law Reginald.
Charles was a born-again Christian, and he faithfully attended Forest Hill Church.
He was an avid fly fisherman, gifted photographer, passionate reader, and creative gardener. Charles had a contagious humor and strived for excellence in his career and everyday life.
