Herbert Charles Munn (Charles), age 77, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2024, at his home in Inman, SC with his wife Anita by his side. He was born on November 19, 1946, in Rock Hill, SC, the son of the late Garnis and Geneva Munn.
Charles graduated from Rock Hill High School where he played football and baseball. He attended Furman University and graduated from Winthrop University with an MBA. He was elected to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges in recognition of outstanding merit and accomplishment in 1973-74.
Charles worked in sales in the packaging industry for many years, later sold real estate and managed his homebuilding company, and taught economics at York Technical College. Charles served in the Navy and Navy Reserves.
Charles was an avid hunter and loved to fish and garden. He enjoyed playing and coaching church softball.
Charles is survived by his wife, Anita Wofford, daughter Lisa Isaacs (Justin), sons Johnathan Munn and Andrew Munn (Lauren); grandchildren Christopher Jones (Emmalee), Kayla Isaacs, Christian Isaacs, Pearson Munn, Ava Munn, Sailor Munn; great grandchildren Owen Isaacs, Michael Isaacs, and Ella Jones. Charles is also survived by his sister, Barbara Rhodes (Steve), sister-in-law Martha Munn (Alton - deceased) and niece and nephew Marnie and Bryan Munn.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Garnis and Geneva Munn, brother Alton Munn, and nephew Steven Charles Rhodes.
Visitation will be held at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, 700 Heckle Blvd, Rock Hill, SC from 12:30 to 1:30 pm on May 13, 2024, followed by a grave side service at 2 pm at Grandview Memorial Park 620 S. Cherry Road, Rock Hill SC. Neelys Creek ARP Church will host a gathering and refreshments for family and friends following the service at 974 Neelys Creek Rd, Rock Hill, SC.
