Charles Harry Nichols

Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Charles Harry Nichols, 91, died peacefully on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at his home where he was in his own bed with his dog lying next to him.

A graveside service will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Adnah United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev Michael Jarrell officiating.

A native of Canton NC, Mr. Nichols was the son of the late Charles Frank Nichols and Katherine Elizabeth Smathers Nichols.  Mr. Nichols was a strong man who was walking as recently as this past Sunday.  All in all he went out of this world well, he was just worn out and we all know age will do that to you.

We all loved him and will miss him, but we celebrate the life he lived and all the things he did for the people who loved him.

Surviving are his two sons, Dennis “Chuck” Nichols (Carol) and Chris Nichols; a daughter, Leslie Nichols; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lila Jo Israel Nichols; and his sister, Wilma Nichols.
