Charles Harrison Tinker, Sr.

Rock Hill - Mr. Charles Harrison Tinker Sr., 75, of 2389 Sandra Lane, died Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.

The family will receive friends 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 2, 2016, at Harvest Ministries Church of God of Prophecy. Memorial services will follow at 2:30 P.M. with the Revs. Gary Adkins and Ken Baker officiating. The family will receive friends at others times on Friday and Saturday at 1380 Decatur Drive, Rock Hill, SC.

Mr. Tinker was a native of Union, SC and was a son of the late Lawrence Harrison Tinker and Wilma Crawford Tinker. He was a member of Harvest Ministries Church of God of Prophecy. He worked construction all of his life. He loved fishing and NASCAR racing. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had two very special nieces that helped take care of him, Wanda Sanders and Darlene Simon. He also had a loving special friendship with Wanda and Monty Floyd, Robert Bennett, and Charlie Young.

Surviving are his wife, Tony Baker Tinker; a son, Chuck Tinker (Barrie); a daughter, Karen Baxley (Chip); two brothers, Jimmy Tinker (Rhoda) and David Tinker; four sisters, Robbie Ballard, Ruth Langley, Bea Surratt (Jim) and Martha Helms; three grandchildren, Lee Tinker, Valerie Kissell and Charlie Baxley; and two great grandchildren, MacKenzie Tinker and Chase Lowery. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Elizabeth Tinker; and three sisters, Margaret Rowell, Eurathe Gordon, and Polly Patterson.
