Charles B. Whiting Jr.

Charles Bailey Whiting, JR., also known as "Bing" to his family and friends, departed this world on August 21, 2017, he was 74. Born on April 11, 1943 to Charles Bailey Whiting, Sr. and Katherine E. (Jackson) Whiting of Goshen, CT. Charles graduated Wamogo High School in 1961. He went to college at The University of Hartford. Charles was a dedicated employee for 35 years at Kimberly Clark Co., New Milford, CT. He had interests in American history and was an avid genealogist. He researched his familial lineage back to the Mayflower pilgrims. Charles had his children, grandchildren and niece and nephew certified as direct descendants and members of The Mayflower Society, Plymouth, Mass. Charles was a member of Center Congregational Church of Torrington, where he taught Sunday school several years ago. He lead a life of good moral character, and integrity for his children and grandchildren to be proud of. Charles leaves behind his Wife of 54 years, Joyce M. (Horner) Whiting, daughter Kelly-jean Whiting, Son, Charles Bailey Whiting, III, daughter, Ila Susan Whiting, Grandson, LCPL Chandler R. Allen, Granddaughter, Paige D. Whiting, a dear Brother, James H. Whiting & Wife, Velma, niece, Vanessa Whiting and Nephew, James Whiting. The family held a private memorial celebration of Mr. Whiting's life in Rock Hill, SC where he relocated to in 2016 with his wife.
