Charlotte (Lake) Casolare

September 21, 1928 — November 3, 2020

Charlotte (Lake) Casolare, 92, formerly of Palm Harbor, FL, passed away November 3, 2020 at her daughter's home in Rock Hill, SC. A devoted wife and mother, Charlotte was the first born of eight children to James and Clara (Chapman) Lake. Growing up in Central NY, Charlotte worked beside her father on the family farm and while still in her teens, trained at Cornell University to become a Certified Milk Inspector for NY state dairies.  Charlotte worked as Syracuse News, General Electric, and Key Bank, where she retired in 1990 as Printing Manager.

Charlotte and her late husband enjoyed their retirement in Palm Harbor, FL and were avid travelers, visiting France, Morocco, Mexico, the Caribbean, and the Holy Land. Charlotte is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Charles W. Casolare, their son, Rev. Charles J. Casolare, her brothers, Charles and Robert, her twin sister and brother Mabel and Macel (died in infancy), daughter-in-law Janet Gehman Casolare Owens and son-in-law, Timothy Williams.

Surviving are her sisters Joanne (Bill) Hudson, Lola (Rowland) Stanard and Barbara (Earl) Hudson, daughters, Kathleen Casolare of Tucson, AZ and Charlene Williams of Rock Hill, son, Conrad (Shelley) Casolare of Fort Mill, SC, eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews whom she also held dear in her heart.  A memorial service will be held at a later date, due to current COVID-19 concerns.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the St. John's United Methodist Church 130 Tom Hall St, Fort Mill, SC 29715. The family would like to thank RN Glenna, home-health aide Beth and Chaplain Nate for their loving care of our Mom.
