Cheryl Ann (Easterwood) Drennan

May 15, 1957 — April 19, 2025

Charlotte, NC

Cheryl Ann (Easterwood) Drennan, surrounded by her loving family, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on April 19, 2025. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Cheryl's life was a testament to joy, compassion, and unwavering faith.

Born on May 15, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio, Cheryl was the cherished daughter of Grant and Bonnie Easterwood. She graduated from Perrysburg High School and Penta Career Center in 1975. It was during her early years that she met the love of her life, Richard Allan Drennan, while working at Bill Knapp’s. The two shared 45 wonderful years of marriage and built a life centered around love, laughter, and family.

Cheryl had an incredible gift for connecting with people. She could strike up a conversation with anyone and leave them smiling with her stories and laughter. Her warmth was genuine, and her heart was always open. Even in her final days, Cheryl was pursuing a role to help others battling loneliness—a reflection of her lifelong desire to serve and uplift those around her.

Her love for her family knew no bounds. Cheryl’s happiest moments were spent surrounded by her children and grandchildren, especially during cherished family traditions like trips to Cedar Point and visits to her favorite place, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Her grandchildren adored her and will forever carry the memory of her humor and hugs.

Cheryl’s deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. She lived out her beliefs with humility and grace, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her faith guided her every step, and those who knew her were inspired by her spiritual strength.

Professionally, Cheryl spent much of her life in the food industry and later started her own successful babysitting business from home—a testament to her nurturing spirit. After moving to South Carolina, she returned to the food service world and found joy working in the cafeteria for Greenville City Schools.

She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Keil Patrick Drennan, and her parents, Grant and Bonnie Easterwood. She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard; her children Nicholas (Jennifer) Drennan, Joel (Tiffany) Drennan, and Amy (David) Hardister; her six beloved grandchildren—Payton, Avery, Harper, Kaelyn, Emerson, and Noah; her sister, Vicki Richardson; and brothers Mark (Karey) Easterwood and Todd Easterwood.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Hospice for the compassionate care they provided Cheryl in her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cheryl’s memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

Cheryl Ann Drennan will be remembered as a woman who brought light to every room, laughter to every conversation, and love to every heart she touched. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

A memorial service will be held at Palmetto Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM with a visitation to follow.
