Chester “Chet” Peter Wisniewski II, 71, of Charlotte, NC died Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 at his home.
Born October 17th, 1951 he was the son of the late Chester and Sarah (Rowley) Wisniewski Sr.
Chester was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Lansdale, PA. He was a proud son of his hometown and was a recognized athlete in Basketball and Football and graduated from Lansdale Catholic High School. He later found a new community and home in both North and South Carolina and worked in the automation industry for over 40 plus years as a strategic salesman, sales manager, and Vice President of Sales. Chester was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan, avid golfer, and movie buff. He was caring, kind, compassionate, and humorous. Chester was always the first one to come to the aid of his friends, family, and strangers. He was a passionate grandfather to his grandchildren and mentor to many. Chester will be missed by the countless people who he made an impact on.
Chester was preceded in death by his sisters Mary Ann (Wisniewski) Dobbins and Sara Elizabeth Wisniewski and daughter-in-law Shiela Denise Dial. He is survived by his wife Dawn Elaine (O’Day) Wisniewski, his siblings Michael Wisniewski of Lansdale, Pennsylvania and Peter Bossow of Philadelphia, PA; sons Chester Wisniewski III of Maitland, FL, Chris Wisniewski of Eagleton, PA, Patrick Wisniewski of Orlando, FL, and Tamara (Wisniewski) and husband Rich McGowan of Exton, PA; grandchildren Ryan and Tyler McGowan of Exton, PA, Toni Benton (Dedric Jr.) and Sydni Watson both of Apopka, FL; and his four great-grandchildren Bryce Benton, Ava Benton, Charlotte Watson and David Watson III all of Apopka, FL.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Lewy Body Dementia Association ( https://www.lbda.org/ ), For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation ( https://takeabreakfromcancer.org/ ), National Centre for Padre Pio, or the Special Olympics of Pennslyvania ( https://specialolympicspa.org/ ).
Services will be held on Monday, September 11th at 3:00 PM EST at the St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Fort Mill, South Carolina. For those that cannot attend in person the service will be streamed at https://boxcast.tv/channel/it5pks2xxbbjugdsgspo .
