Christopher Michael Layton

Christopher Michael Layton (Chris), 33 years of age, passed away unexpectedly on March 24, 2023 at his home in York, South Carolina.

Chris was born in Charlotte North Carolina, On March 14, 1990. He was a kind and loving soul who will be remembered for his huge heart and hysterical sense of humor. Chris loved to laugh, and making others laugh came naturally to him. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing him loved him. No one could say an unkind word about Chris Layton.

Chris was employed at UPS where he worked for 12 years. He had many passions and hobbies. He enjoyed any creative endeavor, painting, drawing, creating models and cooking. He also loved gaming and his Mustang 5.0.  Chris was very fond of cats, especially his beloved cat, Luna.

He was survived by his mother and father, Paul and Patty Layton; sister, Paula Layton; three nephews; his best friend, Thomas Doolan; and his girlfriend, Madison Towe.

Chris will be carried in our hearts and will be greatly missed until we meet again.

The funeral service will be held on March 30, 2023 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, 700 Heckle Blvd, Rock Hill, SC 29730.  Visitation will be at 3:00 with service following at 4:00.  Pastor Mark Crews will officiate.  Afterwards a celebration of Chris’ life will be held at Elks Park Clubhouse 3950 Elks Park Rd, Rock Hill SC.
