Claude Earl Sooter Ii

Mr. Claude Earl Sooter, age 64, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at home in Tega Cay, SC. Born in Lubbock, TX, a son of Ray and Inez Sooter, he graduated from Granite Computer College of Phoenix, AZ, then lived in Dallas, TX until moving to Tega Cay, SC in 2006.

Claude's career included computer programming and business process redesign for banking and healthcare industries. Semi-retired, Claude was most recently an office assistant with Mark Watson Realty/Keller Williams Realty in Charlotte, NC.

Claude enjoyed the sun, beach, desert, art collecting, cars, concerts and travel.

Claude was preceded in death by a brother Monty Sooter. Survivors include his husband and life partner of 25 years, Tom Bittenbinder and their feline "kids" of Tega Cay, SC; parents Ray and Inez Sooter of Halfway, TX; brother Randy Sooter and sister Shan and husband Danny Gill of Ft. Worth, TX; two nieces and five nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday March 19, 2016 at 11:00 am at Palmetto Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Yates officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged sent to York County Humane Society, or a charity of one's choice.
