Clyde Heyward Davis

Clyde Heyward Davis, 85, of Rock Hill, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at PruittHealth in Rock Hill. He was born March 22, 1933 in Pineville, NC, son of the late James Brenard Davis, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Bell Davis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Clyde Michael Davis, Gary Wayne Davis and Anthony McManus; first wife, Sadie Flo Gordon Davis; brothers, James Brenard Davis, Jr., William Davis and Leroy Davis; and sister, Dorothy Condor.

Heyward was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Fort Mill. He was a very giving and loving man and was everyone’s “sweetheart”.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 25 years, Margaret Davis; daughters, Sally Ann Caughman (Frank) of McCormick, Molly Kristen Lemm of Rock Hill and Linda Stewart of Fort Mil; son Joe McManus (Brenda) of Matthews, NC; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; special friend and son, Carl Faulk (Janie) of Rock Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Wednesday at Bible Baptist Church with a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at Forsest Hills Cemetery.
