Colette Phyllis Johnson

Colette W. Johnson, 78, of Charlotte NC passed away July 10, 2017 at home. She was born in Bemidji City Minnesota to the late Theodore and Emma Wohfeil. Colette grew up in Duluth, MN and moved to Syracuse NY, where she raised her 3 children. She was employed at Kauffman's Dept Store until 1996 and moved to Charlotte NC where she worked and retired from Hecht's Dept Store. She will always be remembered for her amazing fashion sense, her fabulous desserts and her big heart. Colette is predeceased by the love of her life Joseph Timbello. She is survived by daughters Kari (Cliff) Goodspeed of Fayetteville NY; Kathi (Steve) Duniec of Ft. Mill SC; and son Kent (Valerie) Johnson of Greensboro NC; and sisters Gwen Stucker of Minneapolis MN; and Teddy Hinkley of Inver Grove Heights MN; grandchildren Bryan Phillips of Huntington NY; Katey Phillips of Camillus NY; Marci Colette Duniec of Charlotte NC; Talia (Matt) Penninger and their daughter Piper of Charlotte NC; and Kevin Johnson of Greenboro NC; as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services. Colette was a huge animal lover and had many dogs and cats over the years. In her honor, memorial donations may be made to your local SPCA.
