Connie Ryan Hartsell

Connie Burton Ryan Hartsell (84) died on December 12, 2023 in Ft. Mill, SC. She was born on June 12, 1939 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She married James Robert Hartsell of Rock Hill, SC on August 20, 1960 in Queens, New York.

They were blessed with a son in 1961, James Jr.

Connie was an airline stewardess with American Airlines from July, 1959 to August, 1960. She thereafter worked as a legal secretary in several different firms and cities from 1960 until retirement in 2015. having worked at one firm in Charlotte, NC for 41 years. Jim and Connie lived in Columbia, SC, Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC and Rock Hill, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2018, her father, Robert Daniel Ryan in 1984, Mildred Pauline Burton Ryan in 1986, her brother, Danny Paul Ryan in 2007, and her sister, Jenny Marceil Ryan Prejean in 2014. Connie is survived by her son, her family in Texas and New Mexico, and her spiritual family at Park Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 11:00 am at Park Baptist Church, 717 E Main St, Rock Hill, SC with interment to follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
