Mrs. Cora Pauline Smith Adkins died Wednesday December 23, 2009 at her home. Born in Chester, SC, a daughter of the late Ulis Garland and Edna Bryant Smith. Mrs Smith was retired from Cone Mills and a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Ft Mill, she was preceded in death by her husband James Howard Adkins, Sr; two sons James Howard Adkins, Jr; Darrell Adkins; and daughter Gloria Broome.

Survivors include her daughter Myra Ramsey of Indian Land and nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held Sunday, December 27, 2009 at 3 PM at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Michael Ritter officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
