Cory Neil Barnes

Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Cory Neil Barnes, 35, died Monday, June 17, 2024, at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 6:00 pm Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Emmanuel Nazarene Church, 998 Dunlap Roddey Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730 with the Revs. Jonathan Pannell, Eddie Williams, and Alex Fetterson, officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

A native of Rock Hill, SC Mr. Barnes is a son of Frederick Edwin Barnes (Tina) and Jessie Rogers Price (Mike Price – stepfather).  He was a proud member of the Catawba Indian Nation.  Cory will live on through the lives he saved by donating his organs.  His selfless act will give others a second chance at life.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his Paternal Grandmother Sarah L. Wallace, Maternal Grandfather Jimmie Rogers (Janice); siblings, Jennifer M. Truax (Doug), Tiffany B Witherington (Darreyl), Michael Kalib Price;  his beloved nieces and nephews, Mary-Lee E Hyatt, Brenden A Bizzell, Kyler H Witherington, and Kennith A Price; aunts and uncles, Angel Barnes Clark (Robert), Leesa Rogers Mercer, Tammy Rogers Collins (Wayne), Wendy P Jernigan, Ricky D Price (Austin); his cousins, who were like siblings,  Audrey Cox (Lanny), Melissa Reynolds (Chris), Matthew Wilson (Meg), Emily Starr Clark, Chloe Clark, and Jaxon Clark; his fiancé, Tammy Anthony and her sons, Christopher Louthan and Kody Louthan. Cory was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandmother Mary Anne Cannon Rogers; Paternal Grandfather and Grandmother Henry Neil and Marilyn Barnes; and Paternal Grandfather, Audie Lee Wallace.
