Crystal Leann Patterson

Charotte, NC - Crystal Leann Patterson, 31, passed away at her home in Charlotte, NC on March 4, 2016.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Fort Mill Church of God with Rev. Larry Nivens officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park.

She was born in Rock Hill, SC August 28, 1984. Crystal is survived by her parents Donald and Myrtie Patterson of Fort Mill, her brothers and their wives D.J. & Kristin Patterson of Fort Mill and John & Jessie Patterson of Rock Hill; Along with her paternal grandparents Mary Lee Bupp and Billy Joe Patterson both of Fort Mill. Although, Crystal had no children of her own, she was like a second mother to her niece Olivia Grace, and nephews Lee, Lucas, Alex and Aiden. She also helped raise her younger siblings Ciara Hyatt and Corrin Privette while still in school herself.


Crystal was a Fort Mill Native and graduated Fort Mill High School Class of 2002 where she was an active member of the Marching Band & ROTC. Crystal also had an associates Degree in Business from York Technical College. She was employed at Jacobsen Textron in Charlotte, NC for 8 years as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. Crystal further pursued her career with Scent Air Technologies for the last 4.5 years. Lucy Hipp, Crystal's supervisor, writes "Crystal was a Senior Cash Applications Specialist; Vice President of Culture Club; Co-Manager of Kickball and Softball teams and she organized the company blood drives. More importantly she was one of the true faces of Scent Air, always willing to help out with every event or celebration; making sure to involve everyone from the production team to the front offices. Her smile was a light for all who knew her and we will all be better for having had her in our lives!"


Crystal was happiest helping with local Charities such as Cerebral Palsy, ALS and Cystic Fibrosis. If she was outdoors with the kids and her family for a cook out, swimming, or just having fun, she would always be lit up with joy and laughter. She could always put a smile on someone's face. Crystal was there for anyone in need, even if it was just a hug, smile, or even a prayer. Her caring heart drew you to her as if you had always been her brother or sister. She loved everyone whole-heartedly and un-selfishly. Crystal will be missed here in this life but welcomed with open arms in Heaven by the family that has gone on before her.

The family will recieve friends 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Whitesell Funeral Home.
