RICHBURG,SC - Dale Alan Hickman, 65, Richburg, SC, passed peacefully to return to his Heavenly Father Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Agape Senior Hospice in Rock Hill.
Memorial services will be 10:00am Saturday, January 17, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lancaster, SC, with President Dan Schaupp Presiding.
Native of York, Pennsylvania, Dale was a son of the late George H. and Marion Sipes Hickman. He was a 67 Graduate of William Penn High School, and York Technical Institute of York, PA. He served in the US Air Force as a ground mechanic and worked as a Mechanical Designer for 30+ years. Dale was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lancaster, SC. He loved painting, working outdoors, and daily walks with his dog of 16 years. Dale was also a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Mary Shughart Hickman; his sons, Jesse Hickman of Baltimore, MD and Stephen Adams (Stacey) of San Antonio, TX; his daughters, Kelly Berkebile of Mt Joy, PA, Jennifer Houtz (DeWayne) of Springville, Utah and Stephani Redcay (John) of Carlisle, PA, his brothers, James Hickman of Wrightville, PA and George Hickman (Kathy) of York, PA; his sister, Joyce Rivers (Brad) of Honeoye Falls, NY; and his 17 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandsons, Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Hickman and Richard Hickman; and his sister, Lucille Shea.
