David Joseph Frintner of Fort Mill, SC passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024. Formerly of Chicago, IL David was a good man who always put his family first. His sense of humor and warm smile around always brightened up a room and caused a good deal of laughter. He was a strong caring husband, a devoted father, and a playful grandpa. He reveled in the achievements and antics of his progeny.
He was happy when he was working on his pride and joy, his Model A Ford. And he enjoyed the camaraderie of his friends in the Queen City Model A Club.
Dave and his wife enjoyed gardening, cruising, road trips, and he never forgot his trips on the Concorde. He was a handyman around the house and took price in his tools. His ability to stick to a task enabled him to obtain his Masters Degree.
His legacy is the memory of his laugh and smile that brought so much joy to those who knew him.
Dave served honorable in the U.S. Army and stayed in contact with his Army buddies. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Dawn Frintner of Fort Mill. David is survived by his two children; David A. Frintner (Beth) and Brian L. Frintner (Urszula). He is also survived by his brother Jerry Frintner (Billie) of Michigan, twin brother Donald Frintner (Ann) of Georgia, and his sister Susan Newcomer (Phill) of Georgia; grandchildren Tyler Frintner, Evan Frintner and Zoe Frintner; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Loraine Frintner, and brother Edward Frintner.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the hospice nurses and Wellmore staff for their unwavering compassionate and supportive care that was provided.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to VIA Health Partners (Hospice care) or to the Parkinson's Foundation in Davids name.
There will be a private family service held at a later date.
