David "Chuck" Lee Grant Jr.

David L. Grant Jr., (Chuck) Born July 2, 1953 'changed his address' on September 1, 2013 at The Wayne Patrick Hospice House. Services and Celebration of Life will be held at Charlotte Ave Church of Christ, 339 Charlotte Ave Rock Hill, SC 29732 at 2pm on Thursday Sept. 5th.

He is the son of Gloria Belk Grant and the late David Lee Grant, Sr. In addition to his mother,he is survived by his two daughters, Lindsay G. Timmons and Sara R. Grant. And his step-daughter,Jeannie H Jenkins. He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Nicole Johnson. Also survived by his 7 grandchildren to whom he is affectionately known as "daddy-pop". His three sisters are Sherry G. Leggett, Debbie G. Bowman, and Tammie G. Dresner. Chuck graduated from Northwestern High School in 1973. He was a telecommunications contractor and for a number of years he was owner and operator of Grant Communications and Satellites. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 993, RH, SC 29731.

Chuck was a simple man who didn't treasure materialistic things, but rather loved his family and his friends and cherished every given time with them. He appreciated nature and enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, camping and playing pool and golf. Not only is he know as "the best uncle", he is also well known by many for his boiled peanuts, practical jokes, hand crafted peach seed baskets and sheppard staffs and his ability to turn any simple meal into a delicacy. Chuck spent many years along side his best friend, Flip Jackson, to whom is considered a brother. He also appreciated the care from Margie Grant and his aunt's Sibby and Libby.
