David Andy Nixon

David Andrew “Andy” Nixon , 68, of Clover, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Piedmont Medical Center. He was born May 22, 1949 in Little River, SC, son of the late Gerald Boone and Flora Mae Todd Nixon.

In addition his parents, Andy was preceded in death by his brother, George Nixon and sister, Hettie Mae Nixon.

Andy was an avid fisherman and worked as a mechanic on cars throughout his life.

He leaves to cherish his memory is loving wife, Hilda Johnson Nixon; son, James Michael Nixon and wife, Lisa of York; son, Gerald Randall Nixon of Clover; two grandchildren, Emily and Jannie Gordon; brothers, Edward Nixon of FL, Doug Nixon and wife, Mary of FL, Bucky Nixon and wife, Vera of NC, Tiny Nixon and wife, Brenda of Little River, Jeff Nixon of NC and Joseph Pollard of TN; sisters, Marie Williamson and husband, Kenny of Little River, Dollie Williamson of Little River and Beth Dorsh and husband, Ted of NC; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in York, SC.
