David Lewis Paul

YORK - David Lewis Paul of York, SC, went to be with the Lord on December 13, 2014 following a lengthy illness. He was born on February 27, 1961 in Winter Park, FL, and attended Christian schools in Orlando, FL, residing there most of his life and working as a baker with Toufayan Bakeries. He was a member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church in York. David is survived by his love, Angela LaPoint and son, D.J. LaPoint of York, his parents, Robert W. Paul and Patricia R. Paul of Orlando, sisters Robin M. Paul of Denver, CO and Elizabeth A. Paul of Portland, OR, and brother Timothy M. Paul of Orlando. David was passionate about other countries and would travel through photos to the places he always wished to go. Known for his wicked sense of humor, David frequently had a sparkle in his eye and a smile on his lips over some witty thought. He loved watching the news and was your go-to guy if you ever wanted to know the weather. David also had a deep love for animals and never an animal was met that he didn't offer love and affection. He had an amazing memory, a gift he inherited from his mother. On holidays, he would often reminisce (and entertain) his family of events and conversations they had years earlier with such delight and confidence that it was just like being there all over again.

Memorial services will be 11AM Thursday, December 18, at Philadelphia United Methodist Church, 2260 Chester Highway, York, SC 29745.
