David Wayne Pender

Rock Hill, SC - David Wayne Pender, 55, of Rock Hill, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 9, 1962 in Charlotte, NC, son of the late Linda Blackwelder Peek.

In addition to his mother, David was preceded in death by his nephew, Carter Ratliff.

David was an avid music lover and had a passion for Ford Mustangs. He worked as a manager with Fastop Convenience Store in Gastonia and adored his job and employees. Most important to David was his family and he will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Pamela F. Williams and husband, Carl of Rock Hill and Sherry L. Pender of Blythewood; grandfather, Red Ross of Rock Hill; nieces, Melinda Williams Parker and husband, Michael of Lancaster, Carla Williams Ratliff and husband, Josh of Rock Hill, Angel Williams of Rock Hill and Hannah Williams of Rock Hill; nephews, Caleb Williams of Rock Hill and Josiah Williams of Rock Hill; great-nephews, Jackson Williams and Noah Ratliff; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 238 Fort Mill Highway, Fort Mill, SC 29707 with Pastor Carl Williams officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in David's memory to Hospice & Palliative Care, 1420 E Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC.
