Rock Hill - Mr. David Jack Wallace, 58, of 730 Crest Street, died Monday, October 25, 2010, at his home.
The family will receive friends 12:00 - 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at Whitesell Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with the Revs. Jay Wright and Reggie Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
Born on November 21, 1951, Mr. Wallace was a son of the late David Dewitt Wallace and Myrtle Johnson Threatt. Mr. Wallace was a native of Fort Mill. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a police officer for Mecklenburg County. He was a past employee of York General Hospital where he worked as an E.M.T. He was a six degree Black Belt in Karate and owned and operated Rock Hill Karate Academy. He also owned and operated several retail stores in Rock Hill. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by three sisters, Linda Wallace Lee, Elaine Wallace Reynolds and her husband, Randy, and Shirley Wallace Millsaps and her husband Bart; and one of the family's dearest friends, Randy Burris.
