Deborah 'Debbie' Schultz, 60, of York, SC passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 surrounded by her family at Hospice and Community Care of Rock Hill SC after a courageous 12 year battle with cancer. She is the daughter of the late Robert and Phylis Brand of Sheboygan WI. She spent most of her working career in the Insurance industry rising to the position of Underwriter. In her later years she found great comfort and satisfaction in working with the elderly and infirm. Deborah is survived by her husband, Jeffrey, and son Scott (Jennifer Kiely) of Charlotte; a daughter, Stephanie Talbot (Joey) of Harrisburg, NC; two grandchildren, Madison and Trevor both Harrisburg. She also survived by three brothers; Robin (Raynette), New Franken, WI; Randall (Judy), Milwaukee, WI and Richard (Marina) of Clement, CA and also many nieces and nephews. Always an avid football fan Deborah enjoyed attending Carolina Panthers football games, gardening, needlecraft and spending time with her grandchildren, Madison and Trevor. She always enjoyed being around animals especially her beloved dachshund, Lucy. Per Deborah's wishes a prayer service will be held at The Oratory, 434 Charlotte Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730. The family would like to sincerely thank Hospice and Community Care Rock Hill SC for their compassionate and understanding service to Deborah and the Family during this most difficult of times and would request, as were Deborah's wishes, that any memorials or remembrances be made to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731, in Deborah's memory.
