Deborah Cissel Zapata, our beloved mother, passed away on Thursday, November 5th, 2020 and is safely in the arms of our dear Lord and Savior.
Known to most as Debbie, she was born August 10, 1955 in Miami, FL. She resided in Fort Mill, SC for the last three years and touched the hearts of many through her years living in south Florida as well as Blue Ridge, GA.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children Maryalina, Angelyn and Tony, her twin brother Rick, her six grandchildren and her faithful furry companion Rosie.
Debbie was a retired carpenter and was always described as “the sweetest lady” by anyone she ever met. She had a way with words that brought comfort and peace to those around her and left behind the following sentiment for her children:
"If ever you should miss me; remember all we’ve shared
All the laughs and all the tears; opened hearts to care
If ever you can’t hear me; I’m in the wind’s embrace
I am the warmth that from the sun; lights softly on your face"
"If ever you can’t touch me; have faith I am a part
Of all you feel most deeply; hold sacred in your heart
You are of and from me; different yet alike
For God’s purpose and intentions; you are to live YOUR life”
“Following your own path; discover the unique YOU
Enjoy these gifts from God and me; in all you say and do
The bonds between our hearts; are firmly held in place
By a love so deep and lasting; they heed no time nor space”
“This truth and profound evidence; can be observed by this direction
To see parts of ME that make up YOU; just look at your reflection!”
My love forever,
Mom
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held by the family in the Blue Ridge Mountains where she wished for her ashes to be scattered.
