Debra Charpentier

Mrs. Debra "Debbie" Lynn Charpentier (Ritchie), age 62, of Sumter, South Carolina, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Debbie was born January 25, 1955 in Copper Hill, Tennessee, to Frank Lee and Jeanette "Did" Ritchie. She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Gene Ritchie, her father Frank, and her husband, Alan Dale Charpentier. She is survived by her mother, "Did," and her daughter, Paula Neely and son-in-law Carson of Clover, South Carolina.

Despite living in exotic locations such as Taiwan, Japan and England, Debbie ultimately established her home in Sumter. She worked many years in retail, with the majority of her time spent at Walmart. She made many dear life-long friends throughout her career. Debbie had a golden heart and loved not only her family and friends, but also her furry companions and the gorgeous blooms she cultivated with her green thumb.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM at Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill, South Carolina. Pastor Greg Wanderman of Church of Christ at Clover will officiate.
