Debra Mary Strait

"Miss Debbie" Strait 64, passed away suddenly on September 25, 2016 in the Neurological Oncology Unit at CMC Main in Uptown Charlotte. Born in Euclid Ohio, daughter of Clifford and Argie Vilcheck, Debbie was the loving wife of 38 years to Douglas Strait, and the precious and wonderful mother to her two sons Ryan and Brandt Strait and daughter in law Rachel Strait. She was ecstatic to become a grandmother of her future grandson, Archer Remington Strait.

Not only did Debbie live and breathe for her family, she also loved her school. Miss Debbie has been the Director of the St. Philip Neri Child Development Center for the past 17 years, where she loved every child who walked through the door. Miss Debbie was a precious soul who was full of life, love and driven by faith.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening September 29, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place Dr. Fort Mill South Carolina 29708
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Philip Neri Church on Friday September 30, 2016 at 1:00 pm with a reception immediately following in the Parrish Center. Entombment will be private for the family.

The family asks that any memorials be sent to St. Philip Neri Child Development Center located at 292 Munn Road E, Fort Mill South Carolina 29715.
