Delores J. Spidel, “Dee”, 60, of Clover, SC and formerly of Pocatello, ID, peacefully entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 11, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 21, 1960 in Sumter, SC daughter of the late Edward Spidel and Shelby J. Douglas.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by grandson, Kadin Gazzaway; daughter, Jennifer Blair and brother, Dale Spidel.
Dee loved spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite hobbies included fishing and gold prospecting with her husband.
Dee achieved the rank of MSgt. in the USAF and retired after 23 years of service, she enjoyed her many travels around the world during her Military service and the many friends she made along the way. After retiring from the USAF she worked as a receiving agent for Walmart in Pocatello, ID.
Most important to her was her family and she will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She leaves a lasting legacy to be cherished by her survivors, her husband of 37 years, Clarence L. Long Jr.; daughters, Sarah B. DuVall and husband, Ryan of Boise, ID and Emily Gazzaway and husband, Billy of Springfield, VA; son, Clarence L Long III and wife Anna of Nyssa, OR.; mother Shelby J. Douglas of Clover, SC; sister Marie Marr of Clover, SC and brother Todd Deas of Atlanta, GA. and 8 grandchildren.
A Celebration of life service will be held by the family.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the hospice nurses, physicians and staff, of Atrium Health, Pineville, NC. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org).
