Denese Yvette Kotchevar

Denese Yvette Kotchevar, 71, of Mooresville, NC, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024. Born July 19, 1952, in Lindsey, California, she was the daughter of the late Willam and Donamae Nelson Thompson. She always adored butterflies, dragonflies and ladybugs. Denese loved baking and cooking. When she was not in the kitchen, she enjoyed crocheting and sewing. It was also not out of the ordinary to find her caught up in one of her favorite novels, whether it was a who done it murder mystery or a classic romance.

Her main focus over the last 15 years was being with her grandkids each day. She especially enjoyed watching movies with them and treating them to pizza and popcorn.

Denese is survived by her three children: daughters, Jenna Busick (Michael) of Mooresville, NC and Julie Kotchevar of Washoe Valley, NV and son, Jonathan Kotchevar of Washoe Valley, NC; her adoring grandchildren: Kylie and Zane Busick of Mooresville, NC; and many more loving family and friends.
