Dennis Michael Grayson, 79, of Fort Mill, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024. Born Saturday, September 9, 1944, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Howard Grayson and Ortense Crivaro Grayson Long. Dennis graduated from the University of Dayton, OH, where he met his wife of 55 years. Dennis was full of imagination and life. He spent time serving his country as a medic in the U.S. Air Force, while pursuing his love of the arts in television and as a director, producer and writer. Dennis worked with many different television stations and creating his own action, sci-fi, martial arts and adventure productions and books. From September 2, 2008 until March 26, 2014, he was a branch director in the Rocklin Police and Volunteer Department where he dedicated 502hrs of his time and service. After moving to Fort Mill, he volunteered at the Fort Mill History Museum.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Margaret "Peggy" Grayson; daughter, Heather Lovette and her husband, Scott; grandson, Alexander "Alex" Lovette; cousin, Bob Ciminel; and many more extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Grayson.
A celebration of Dennis' life will be held at Palmetto Funeral Home on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 1:00pm. There will be a reception to follow in the community room at Carolina Orchards. (1277 Carolina Orchard Blvd)
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the
Fort Mill History Museum.
