Dink Kennett
ROCK HILL - Dennis "Dink" Charles Kennett, 59, of 663 Annafrel St., died Friday, April 6, 2012, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Funeral services have been cancelled for Wednesday. Burial will be private.
Born in Union, S.C., Dink is the son of Katherine L. Privette and the late Charles Franklin Kennett.
Anyone who knew Dink was keenly aware of his great sense of humor and his love for family and friends. An avid sports fan who loved his Gamecocks and NASCAR racing. He loved playing all type sports and hated finishing anything but first! He loved a good debate and always had to have the last word. Dink was an electrician by trade. Always the life of the party and ready for a good joke on someone, even if that someone was him! Simple pleasures were his favorite, sitting around a campfire with his family and friends sharing old stories and laughs. He was especially happy with the 22 years he spent with his wife, Marie. He loved his mother, son, and sister dearly. To know him was to love him!
He is survived by his wife, Marie S. Kennett; one son, Chuck Kennett; a sister, Karol Wilson (Johnny); a grand daughter, Meranda Craig; and his mother and step-father, Johnnie and Katherine Privette.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Whitesell Funeral Home is serving the Kennett family.
