Dennis Michael Laney

LOWRYS - Dennis M. Laney, 65, died in Winston-Salem, N.C. on July 7, 2015. A graveside service will be 11 A.M. Monday, July 13, 2015 at Grandview Cemetery, Cherry Road, with Mr. Dale Kletter officiating.

A native of Rock Hill, S.C., Dennis was a son of the late Sam Laney and Charlene Aycoth. Dennis was employed with Bonitz Construction Company. "Chip" was his nickname to his family and friends. He was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and The University of South Carolina. He loved the outdoors, his horses, and rode often in the Lowrys Christmas Parade in S.C.

Dennis is survived by two sons, Scott Laney and Jonathon Laney; one daughter, Marisa Laney; five brothers, Bud Laney (Audrey), Wayne Laney, Richard Laney (Judy), Roger Laney (Charmaine) and Larry Laney (Wanda); and four sisters, Pat Hughes, Edith Smith, Betty Akers (Gary) and Judy Templeton (Don).

The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Whitesell Funeral Home at 975 Riverview Road.
