Dennis Allen Ray

DENNIS ALLEN RAY of Fort Mill SC (formerly of Columbus, Ohio) succumbed to his battle with Cancer on August 22, 2023.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Darla, and scores of friends in South Carolina and Ohio.

Dennis is a retired electrician and a talented amateur chef. He possessed the ability to build a barn, remodel a house, or tend a garden. He loved to vacation in New Orleans with his wife and would constantly be searching for recipes to try out on his friends. He will be remembered as a man who never needed to be asked to assist with a project. Neighbors and friends will recall Dennis pulling up in their driveway and unloading tools of all sorts to dig into the work at hand.

Dennis enjoyed spending time on his patio with friends and neighbors, reading, and gardening.

He is preceded in death by his father, Herman Ray and his mother Lillian.

Dennis requested there be no memorial or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Judes Children's Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children, or your local animal shelter.
