Diane Mccorkle

Indian Land, SC - Mrs. Sally Diane Hermanson McCorkle, passed away on Tuesday evening February 28, 2023, at Atrium Health Pineville.

Diane was born on September 4, 1950, to the late Paul Stephenson and Eva Helms Hermanson. She was married to love of her life Charles McCorkle for 52 years. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mom, and Mawmaw.  She loved to read, do plastic canvas and ceramics, watch police crime dramas, play Bingo, and fish.  Most of all, she loved her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty McCorkle Ellis; and her son, Charles “Joe” McCorkle Jr; four grandchildren, Nichole Ellis, Ben Ellis and his wife, Samantha, Danyelle McCorkle Favali and her husband, Mason, and Dale McCorkle; and three great-grandchildren, Emily Devinney, Marley Devinney, and Lucas Ellis all of Indian Land, SC; two sisters, Betty Flowers of Pineville, NC, and Jeannette Miles of Columbia, SC.  She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles McCorkle; her son-in-law, Benny Ellis, and two brothers, Odell Helms and George Hermanson.

A graveside service will be held Monday, March 6, 2023, at 4:00 pm at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, 3606 Providence Rd S Waxhaw, NC with Graham Armstrong officiating.  The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Betty Ellis.
