Dickey Hinson

Lancaster - Mr. Richard (Dickey) Frank Hinson, Sr. 68, died Saturday, December 24, 2016.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, at Grandview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Beth Jenkins, 3779 J.B. Denton Road, Lancaster, SC.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Hinson was a son of the late David Hinson and Margaret Dabney Hinson. Dickey was a hard a working, generous, and compassionate man and was loved by many. He loved spending all his time with his family as well as fishing. His grandchildren were his heart. He formally worked for Rock Hill Finishing and Printing Company and recently retired from Utilities, Inc.

Surviving are a son, Richard "Hank" Frank Hinson, Jr. (Betty); two daughters, Jessie "Beth" Jenkins (Tommy) and Sherrie Davis (Tim McMahan); two brothers, Eddie Hinson (Mary) and Bill Hinson (Judy); a sister, Linda Coe; 6 grandchildren, Kayla (Jarvis), Heather (Dustynn), Danielle, Ritchie, Johnathan (Brei) and Hannah; and 5 great-grandchildren, Chloe, Joseph, Robby, Lainey, and Scarlett. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Hinson.
