Dolores Diffie Lowe

December 30, 1942 — May 6, 2023

Fort Mill

Dolores Diffie Lowe, 80, of Fort Mill, SC peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 6, 2023.  She was born December 30, 1942 in Memphis TN, the daughter of the late Charles and Kathryn Diffie.

Dolores met the love of her life, Macon, when she was 15.  They married and the adventure began.  They lived in Tennessee, West Virginia, Alabama, Oregon, Minnesota, North Carolina, Georgia and South Carolina.  She never had an issue with picking up and moving.  She always thought of these as the next adventure.  And as long as she had Macon and her kids with her, she was up for anything.

All she ever wanted to do was be a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and to love JESUS.  She thrived at all of these!  With 4 kids, 6 grandkids and 1.5 great grandkids she has left a wonderful legacy.  She was passionate about Jesus and wanted to grow in her walk so became a dedicated Bible study student.  As her memory began to fade, she could still quote scripture.  As her physical senses started to wane, her love for Jesus never faded.

She has left behind a lasting legacy to be cherished by her survivors, her husband of 60 years Macon Lowe, son Gary Lowe and wife Lynn of Atlanta, GA.  Daughter Ginger Lowe-Smith and husband Iain of Charlotte, NC.  Daughter Lesa Bullard of High Point NC, and daughter Leslie Leppert of Blythewood, SC.  Grandkids:  Alyssa Chumley, Cameron Lowe, Ashley Bullard, Jacob Bullard, Connor Bullard and Macon Leppert.  Great grandson Landon Chumley…and a sister on the way!  Sister Charlotte Diffie of Memphis, TN.

A celebration of life service will be held by the family on Wednesday May 10 at 2pm at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, SC.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the hospice nurses, physicians and The Blake at Edgewater staff.  Your kindness will never be forgotten.
