Donald Ray Cherry

Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Donald Ray Cherry, 59, died on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Whitesell Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be 10:00 am Thursday, June 20, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Catawba Ward Cemetery with the Rev. Bernard Hamilton.

A native of Rock Hill, SC Mr. Cherry was a son of Alice Canty Cherry and the late James Columbus Cherry.  He enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing.  He loved listening to music.  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Cherry is survived by his six children, Jennifer Jordan (TJ), Scotty Cherry, Danielle Wise (Alex), Bryson Cherry (Jordan Earney), James Gray, and Duane Hopper; two brothers, Jimmy Dean Cherry (Pat) and James C. Cherry, III; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Hopper Cherry; a brother, Ronald Cherry and a sister, Debbie Brock.
