Donald William Coleman

Fort Mill, SC Donald W. Coleman, age 76, went to be with his Lord and Savior October 8, 2013. Born in Camptown, PA; son of the late George Coleman and Eva Rought Coleman. Don retired in 1999 from Gardner Motors as an auto body repair technician. He served in the US Army during the late 50's and was an active member of the American Legion in both NY and SC. Survivors include his sister Norma Conrad of New Milford, PA. , son Don Coleman and wife Heidi of Fort Mill, SC; daughter Brenda Wilde of Waverly NY. He was blessed with six grandchildren; Donald Coleman, Michael Coleman, Brittany Samudio, Shane Wilde, Drew Wilde and Shawnee Norris. He also had six great grandchildren, who he loved to tease, as well as several nephews. He is preceded in death by brother Larry Coleman, sister Barbara King and niece Lynda Conrad. Don was an avid NY Giants fan and supported them year round by wearing Giants hats, jerseys, etc. In addition to being a football fan Don enjoyed fishing and meeting new people. He easily made friends and those who met him seldom forgot him. (He was the talkative man wearing the NY Giants hat.) A memorial service will be held later this fall near where he was born and lived the majority of his life. The date and location will be announced once arrangements have been confirmed.
