Mr. Donald E. McDonald age 78 passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009 in the Harris Hospice Unit in Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Born in Toledo, Ohio in 1930 a son of the late Frank and Effie Mattox McDonald and husband of the late Shirley Ann McDonald. Mr. McDonald was retired Owner and operator of Perry Pharmarcy in Port Clinton Ohio, where he was a pharmacist and worked part-time at Eckerd Pharmacy in Charlotte after moving from Ohio to Tega Cay in 1979, and was an avid golfer also.

Survivors include his sons sons William Bill McDonald and wife Anita of Ft. Mill; Matthew McDonald and wife Tyanne of Rock Hill, and Martin McDonald of Tega Cay, SC; one brother Frank McDonald of Hudson, Fla and three grandchildren Kylie McDonald, Lynsey McDonald and Alan McDonald.

Memorial service will be held Tuesday evening November 24, 2009 at 7 PM from Palmetto Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Bedwell and Benny H. Wade officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
