Donald Vann Peninger

Donald Vann Peninger, Jr., 66, of York, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 16, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 3, 1951 in Charlotte, NC, son of the late Donald V. Peninger, Sr. and Geraldine Garner Peninger. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Peninger. Donald proudly served his country in the US Navy. He was an avid reader and NASCAR fan. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda Garner Peninger; 5 children, Deborah Elaine Peninger, Rebecca Michelle Peninger, Donald Vann Peninger, III, Amber Diane Moss and Christopher Shane McGuire; brother, Eddie James Peninger; sisters, Lisa Oxendine and Annette Oxendine; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 9:00 PM, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the home.
