Donna Poag Chandler

Donna Poag Chandler passed away on 8/19/2020. She was a wonderful wife of over sixty years to Julian. Donna and Julian met in high school at Glee Club and built a life of love together. She was a loving mother to her three sons and a Grammy to five grandchildren, who she loved to spoil. She loved sharing her condo at the beach with everyone, especially the grandkids. At the condo, with the grandkids, she would fill the weeks with big breakfasts, para-sailing, banana boating, crafts, fireworks, and the occasional wrestling match. When they got older she even gave them the keys to drive her convertible. She enjoyed traveling with Julian and spending time with her brother, Richard, and sisters, Ebbie and Linda.

She spent 15 years as a high school secretary. As a testament to her dedication to the students and staff, a yearbook was written in her honor. She will be missed by all who knew her

Donna is survived by her husband Julian Chandler of Pawley’s Island SC; sons, Julian Chandler III and wife Valerie of Leesburg, VA and Jon Chandler and wife Jennie of Kennesaw, GA and Joel Chandler and wife Jessica of Sewickley, PA; sisters, Elizabeth Mitchell of Litchfield, SC, Linda Ross of Rock Hill, SC; brother Richard Poag of Rock Hill, SC.
