Doris Elizabeth (Burris) Hines

Richburg, SC – Mrs. Doris Elizabeth Burris Hines, 73, died on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center.

A graveside service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Forest Hills Cemetery, Rock Hill with the Rev. Roger Brown officiating.

A native of Rock Hill, SC, Mrs. Hines was a daughter of the late Ollie Burris and Ruby Cox Hines.  Doris was a strong-willed Christian woman with a wonderful sense of humor.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and being at the beach.  She married the love of her life, Bobby Hines when she was 14 years old, and he was 16 years old.  They shared a wonderful life together.  The desire for their children was that they wanted all their children to be saved and live for Jesus.

Surviving are two sons, Roddey Hines and Robert Hines (Tracie); three daughters, Nina Duncan, Gina Hines and Ashley Hines; four brothers, Johnny Burris, Ricky Burris, Billy Burris, and Bobby Burris; a sister, Betty Bowser; 11 Grandchildren, Kevin Hines, Christy Hines, Lisa Phillips, Nicole Sutton, Nick Hines, April Conner, Chris Conner, Tasha Hines, Joshua Hines, Isaiah Tave, and Noah Tave; 31Great-Grandchildren, Brittany Caudle, Breanna Hines, Katelyn Hines, McKenzie Hull, Kaylee Gamble, Mason Gamble,  Kylee Gamble, Leah Stacks, Jessie Stacks, Kelsea Stacks, Ana Hines, Savannah Hines, Bentley Hines, Addie Hines, Maddie Hines, Makayla Hancock, Shyla Wingo, Tristan Ferrell, Hannah Hill, Liam Hines, Kylee Hines, Jaylen Hines, Caleb Hines, Kayla Hines, Hayley Conner Aaron, Nevaeh Thomas, Sarah Thomas, Olivia Thomas, Chassidy Conner, Tyler Conner, and Abigail Conner; 3 Great-Great Grandchildren, Aaliyah Bradley, Roman Cook, and Kayden Dalton.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby C. Hines; a daughter, Tracie Conner; a brother, Roger Burris; and a sister, Angie Caudle.
