Doris May Metzler Thomas

Doris May Metzler Thomas, 82, of 4060 Point Clear Drive, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. A native of St. Paul, MN, Ms. Thomas was born March 7, 1927 a daughter of the late Elmer Wilmer and Lucille Cecil Bowes Metzler. She was retired from Ecolab,Inc., a member o f LifePoint Christian Church and the Tega Cay Woman's Club. She was preceded in death by her sister Lillian Brunkow, two brothers Tom and John Metzler and a great grandson. Surviving are two daughters Sandie Hofschulte and her husband Earl of So. St. Paul, MN, Pat Maze and her husband Keith of Tega Cay, SC; a son Dave Thomas of Rock Hill, SC; two sisters Margie King of St. Paul, MN, and Helen Baller of White Bear, MN; four brother George Metzler of St. Paul, MN, Paul Metzler of Scandia, MN, Ken Metzler and wife Joan of Milltown, WI and Donald Metzler of Dolliver, Iowa; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ms. Thomas will be held Saturday March 13, 2010, at 6:30pm, at LifePoint Christian Church in Ft. Mill with Pastor Matt McGue officiating.
