Dorothy Lindstrom Boatman

January 26, 1931 — March 18, 2018

Rock Hill – Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Lindstrom Boatman, 87, passed away quietly into the hands of the Lord on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Memorial services will be 2:30 P.M. Sunday, March 25, 2018, at Park Pointe Village, 3025 Chesbrough Blvd. 3rd Floor Community Room, Rock Hill, SC 29732.

A native of Chassell, Michigan, Mrs. Boatman was a daughter of the late John Lindstrom and Viola Walstrom Lindstrom. Dot was a teacher who taught in the public school systems as well as her children, grandchildren and great grand children and anyone else with a thirst to learn. She loved her plants, gardening, crafts, sewing and needlework. She was also an avid bird watcher and enjoyed camping. She loved her time with family and friends and always had a big beautiful smile.

Surviving are her son, Darrell Boatman (Lisa) of Pittsfield, MA; her daughter, Becky Smith (Phil) of Rock Hill, SC; along with five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Len Boatman.
