Dorothy Virginia Mullis

Dorothy "Dot" Bolin Mullis passed away peacefully at home on Thursday afternoon, February 5, surrounded by her loving family. Dot was born in Lancaster County on January 1, 1932, and graduated from Indian Land High School. Her life was devoted to her husband, her children and grandchildren, and her extended family. She was a life long resident of Fort Mill, she enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. She loved her church and family. A funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church Chapel, Fort Mill, at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 7th, 2015 with the Rev. Ralph Riley and Rev. Shannon Ford officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church. A graveside service will be held at Philadelphia United Methodist Church immediately following the funeral service. She is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-nine years, Boyce Lamar Mullis; her son Jeffrey Mullis (Jackie); her daughters, Judi Mullis Griffin (Keith), and Jan Mullis Dover; one sister, Mrs. Betty Bolin Ervin; her grandchildren, Jad Griffin (Amanda), Jordan Griffin (Danielle) and Abbi Griffin; Candace M. Harger (Josh); Kayla Mullis, and Cassie Mullis; Meredith Dover, Colby D. Dalton (Brad), and Will Dover; and her great-grandchild, Jace Griffin. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William D. Bolin, Sr., eight brothers and sisters, her son-in-law, Don Dover and her loving pet Ginger.
